Yougov have now published their
ITV poll but their is still no mention of the missing S4C questions. There is a rally on the weekend about this so possibly they are holding it back to do a piece tomorrow night. But if they don't use it tomorrow when will they? The data is getting old guys...
If it's not in their published tables then it is not a YouGov finding.
ReplyDeleteFunny though. I wonder if it could it be a 'control' question of some sort? Mike Smithson's point about the need to heavilly weight for red top readers might be relevant. Could it be that YouGov posed the question purely for the purpose of improving their own methodology?
Are you able to reproduce the precise wording by any chance?
Yougov definitely asked me 5 questions on Welsh politics and 5 questions on funding for S4C.
ReplyDeleteA few days later ITV Wales published the questions about voting intentions and referendum voting preferences but didn't publish the S4C questions. Then yougov publish only half of the data tables. Just seems a bit odd.
I can't produce the exact wording but the questions included one on whether I watch S4C, one on how relevant I thought the channel was, do I think it's fair that S4C will now be paid for from the BBC licence fee, will this improve the service.
I was quite surprised that Yougov only produced half of the questions.
This is interesting. Keep up the good work.
